In 2021, MISS READ hosted an online panel featuring Bazar Art Books alongside nine other participants, with a focus on the decentralization of independent publishing. Acknowledging that independent publishing nurtures communities where publishing itself becomes an artistic practice, the session invited some of the most influential groups in the field to discuss both the explicit and implicit politics of book fairs, the criteria for participant selection, and the value exchanges surrounding published works.
